On 6/3/10 at 9:14 a.m., Michael Baker, 18, Muscotah, was arrested on failure to appear warrants from Atchison & Brown Counties and on an Atchison warrant for felony theft.  Remains in custody.

6/1/10 - Atchison County Sheriff’s Office announced today that 44 year old, Daniel A. Brown, of Muscotah, was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of Rape and Aggravated Criminal Sodomy. The alleged incident occurred on or about 05/29/10 in rural Atchison County and involves a child under the age of 14 known to Mr. Brown. Officers of the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office worked throughout the Memorial Day Weekend investigating the case and Mr. Brown remains in custody at The Atchison County Law Enforcement Center, with a $250,000 bond. Mr. Brown is expected to make a court appearance sometime today.
